Start your day with a visit to the Lousal Mining Museum, where you can learn about the region's mining history and enjoy interactive exhibits that depict the lives of the miners.

The museum is dedicated to the region's mining history, with a particular focus on copper extraction, which was of great importance to the local and national economy between the 19th and 20th centuries. Migas Alentejanas Made with stale bread and accompanied by fried pork, it's a traditional dish that well represents the region's typical nose-to-tail cooking.

Natural Heritage Trail, 8 km, difficulty: easy.

Ideal for families, this route stands out for its characteristic cork oak woodland vegetation and bird diversity. It includes interpretive points about the local flora and fauna.

Route of Mines and Mills, 12 km (circular), moderate difficulty.

This trail combines nature and history, passing by old mines and windmill ruins, which tell the story of the mountain's exploitation and traditional use.

Montado and Cork Trail, 7 km, easy to moderate difficulty.

A route that explores the traditional cork oak woodland, highlighting cork production, one of the region's most important activities.

Viewpoint Trail, 15 km, moderate to challenging difficulty.

This trail leads to several viewpoints, offering incredible views over the Serra de Grândola, the plains, and, on clear days, the Atlantic coast.

The hiking trails of the Serra de Grândola are an excellent way to get to know the essence of Alentejo, offering moments of tranquility, contact with nature, and unforgettable views.

Afternoon

Visit a local winery for a tasting of Alentejo wines, learning about the traditional production processes that give the region's wines their excellent reputation.
