Taste of Porto Covo

A Weekend of Flavours, Art and Authenticity

Aiming to showcase all that Porto Covo has to offer, even outside the traditional peak season, the “Sabor a Porto Covo 2024” initiative will take place on November 29th, 30th, and December 1st, a weekend of flavours, art, and authenticity. The objective of the initiative is to position Porto Covo as an attractive year-round tourist and gastronomic destination, focusing on the appreciation of local products, the promotion of high-quality gastronomic experiences, and the reinforcement of its cultural and heritage identity. This first edition aims to establish the foundations for future annual events, promoting the value of local resources and contributing to the sustainable economic development of the region.

“Sabor a Porto Covo 2024” is the result of a partnership between Sines Municipal Council, the Alentejo Regional Tourism Board, Porto Covo Parish Council and the Porto Covo All Year Round Business Association, along with a network of local tourism operators.

The offer comprises four-hand meals (collaborations between chefs from the region), exclusive/special dishes at participating restaurants, commented wine tastings, and activities linked to culture, sport, and nature. Porto Covo's hotels and guesthouses will open their doors to the public, showcasing the comfort and authenticity of their spaces. In Porto Covo's Public Garden, an inflatable park will be available, guaranteeing moments of joy for children and parents alike.
