The Test

With the support of the Municipality of Santiago do Cacém and the Municipality of Sines, an event called “TRAIL COSTA VICENTINA DELTA CAFÉS” will take place on 23 October 2022 at 08:30. The Trail will follow the beautiful and unique Costa Vicentina walking trail/path between Santiago do Cacém and Porto Covo, covering a distance of 57 km. There will be an intermediate distance of 25 km between Cercal and Porto Covo. There will be a shorter distance of 15 km between Sonega and Porto Covo, also along the same path.

The three distances are races of the National Trail Circuit: Trail Ultra, Trail Médio, and Trail Sprint.

On the same day, a walk along an 11 km circular route in Cercal do Alentejo, part of the Rota Vicentina. The registration fee for the walk goes entirely to the Cercal do Alentejo Volunteer Fire Department.

Secretariat

Collection of the athlete's pack will take place at the Porto Covo Multi-purpose Pavilion.
Time:
Saturday 22nd October from 10:00 to 18:00
Sunday 23rd October from 06:30 to 09:00
At the walk, the secretariat opens at 08:30 by the start.

Transport

There will be transport for athletes from the finish to the start(s):
At the Trail Ultra the start will be at 07:00 in Porto Covo.
For the Medium Trail, the start will be at 8:30 am in Porto Covo.
At the Trail Sprint, the start will be at 9:00 am in Porto Covo.

The transport cost will be €2 for the Trail Sprint and Trail Médio, and €3 for the Trail Ultra per registration, from Porto Covo to the respective start lines.
You must indicate the need for transport on the application form.

The transport pick-up location will be in the car park next to the Porto Covo Multipurpose Pavilion.

Shower

Showers upon arrival inside the Porto Covo Multipurpose Pavilion and at the Ilha do Pessegueiro Campsite in Porto Covo.

Massages

There will be no massages due to the pandemic situation.

Each participant must carry the following recommended equipment:
• Liquid container
• A fully charged mobile phone
• GPS (track available for download in the ‘Routes’ tab)
• Thermal survival blanket
• Whistle
