Premiere of Ela Li's Concerto in Sines

A singer, songwriter, and filmmaker from Lisbon, she makes her solo debut after years of performing on the biggest stages in the country (singing in projects as diverse as Mirror People, Maria Reis, or Flak) and a stint at Festival da Canção 2019, under the name Ela Limão. Her first full-length album, “Choradeira,” is now released, having been preceded by a self-titled single (whose music video was nominated for the Berlin Commercial Awards).

The premiere will take place at the Sines Arts Centre. An album that brings to the public a mature, authentic Ela Li, with a style that is uniquely hers. “Choradeira” is the result of years of maturation, composed upon the artist's return to Portugal, after years living in Latin America. Influences from this experience are clearly evident in the 12 songs that make up this first full-length album. “’Choradeira’ takes emotions and transforms them, taking us on a journey that warms the body even when speaking of pain or sadness. For the launch concerts, that is precisely what I intend to do, take us all on a sweet journey that warms the soul. I hope to see everyone there and show you this album, which is so special to me, live,” says Ela Li.
