With a total route of 1598.6 km, this edition will pass through various locations, including some that have not been part of the route for a long time.
Fernando Ramos also highlights the significance of the event for cycling and local regions. In addition to fostering the sport, the competition promotes the visibility and strengthening of local economies. To broaden its reach, efforts were made to extend the route to other regions.
Sine waits anxiously to be part of this cycling festival. By hosting the competition, the city attracts tourists and promotes its local attractions, contributing to economic development.
The 84th Volta a Portugal stands out for the debut and return of host cities. Furthermore, other locations, such as Sines, Anadia, Estremoz, Abrantes, Loulé, and Penamacor, also feature in the route, offering cyclists and spectators a unique experience with their distinct landscapes and challenges. The inclusions, in this regard, demonstrate the importance of diversifying the route and involving different regions of Portugal, thus strengthening the link between the competition and the country. With this strategic move, the Volta a Portugal em Bicicleta gains even more relevance and sparks the interest of both cycling enthusiasts and curious spectators.
