Grândola, Vila Jazz 2025

Bruno Santos, musician and teacher at the Luiz Villas Boas Jazz School of the Hot Clube de Portugal, is the curator for the 2025 Grândola, Vila Jazz season. He put together the programme for this new jazz cycle while maintaining the artistic direction of previous years, so that people feel close to jazz. The programme aims to offer the public a comprehensive overview of the various generations of jazz, bringing “veteran” musicians to Grândola, groups featuring young musicians, or a group of graduating musicians from the Hot Clube school. At the same time, the aim is to showcase a stylistic diversity within mainstream jazz, featuring a repertoire ranging from jazz classics to more contemporary styles.

Grândola, vila jazz, a consolidated project with a loyal audience, is the result of a partnership between the Municipality of Grândola and SMFOG – Sociedade Musical Fraternidade Operária Grandolense, which began in 2023.

Grândola has jazz performances all year round, featuring musicians of the highest quality, who present us with the very best that is being done in Portugal in the field of jazz.

This project is of excellence in promoting art and culture made in Portugal, providing the public with free access to a musical style that is winning over more and more fans.
