Sines celebrates World Children's Day

The Sines Municipal Assembly organises on the 1st June, on Alameda da Paz, a celebration of International Children's Day in a format dedicated to families. Various local entities are collaborating on the programme.

One of the highlights of the programme for today, among the 10:30 AM and 3:30 PM, in front of the old train station, is the ‘Grande CircOOnferência’, by Radar 360º, a contemporary circus show inspired by the History of the Circus, with elements of humour, risk and poetry, appealing to all generations.

The animation space in the Alameda opens at 10:00 and closes at 18:00, and during this period, there will be inflatables, face painting, games, paints and brushes.

An area for babies, conceived by the volunteers from the senior spaces of Jardim das Descobertas and Bairro Marítimo, will be available.
Local authorities are joining the programme with various initiatives, such as the GNR with a road circuit at the Alameda.

The GNR is bringing a road circuit to the Alameda, the Sines Gymnastics Academy is participating with its trampolines, the ATL “A Gaivota” (Parish Council of Sines) is providing thrills with clay, and the Litoral Alentejano Solidário cooperative is promoting the exchange of a food item for a toy. The “A Conchinha” Children's Centre is also present, with a visual arts workshop.

At 4:00 PM, the Sineense Recreational Dance Association is giving a “take dance” class.

Admission is free to all activities.
