The Microsons Festival is coming to Grândola with JP Simões and Pedro e os Lobos

Grândola is hosting the Microsons Festival on February 2nd and 3rd, with free performances at 9:30 PM at the Cine-Granadeiro, celebrating art and freedom.

The organisation highlights Grândola as the ideal location for Microsons, honouring the Vila Morena which represents so much for Portugal in terms of the April song and culture. This year, the Festival celebrates the 50th Anniversary of April 25th.

Day 2: JP Simões presents “Songs by José Mário Branco”, paying tribute to the Portuguese music icon as a singer-songwriter, composer, arranger, and music producer.

JP Simões, a multifaceted artist since 1995, collaborates on projects such as Pop Dell’Arte, Belle Chase Hotel, and Quinteto Tati, as well as releasing solo albums.

Day 3: Pedro and the Wolves release “Entre Estações”, exploring environments from 70s American Rock/Folk to contemporary New Folk, incorporating modern sonic elements like synthesizers, loops, and drum machines.

O Microsons, a travelling festival, promotes Portuguese singer-songwriter music, standing out for its musical diversity, cultural decentralisation, and appreciation of spaces.
