Swimrun Portugal for the first time in Troia

This endurance competition demands speed, stamina and strategy, where the entire course is completed using the equipment with which the race begins. Participants who accept the challenge will cover an outdoor route involving multiple transitions between open-water swimming (sea and river), and trail running along the golden sand stretch of Tróia (around 17 km long), through the Caldeira lagoon right in the heart of the Sado Estuary and past the centuries-old Roman ruins with the Arrábida Hills as a backdrop.

This edition also features the “Kids” format aimed at youngsters, where they will have the opportunity to experience the discipline. The minimum age for participation is 6 years old. Registration is free by sending an email to: swimrun.portugal@gmail.com
The Tróia leg (16 April) is the debut on the 2023 Swimrun Portugal national circuit, joining the legs already presented in the calendar: Azores (São Miguel Island), Lagoa (Algarve), Tâmega (Entre-os-Rios), Zêzere (Abrantes), Vale do Lobo and Madeira (Machico).
Right now, Swimrun is a global phenomenon with over 700 races in various European countries and more than 8,000 finishers across its various formats.
